Test Engineer (Automation)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Test Engineer with 2-3 years of experience in automation testing to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the development and execution of automated test scripts. You will work closely with development and product teams to identify test requirements and ensure that our applications meet high standards of performance and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, TestNG, JUnit.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define test strategies for new features and functionalities.
• Perform regression testing, performance testing, and API testing as needed.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools, e.g., JIRA.
• Review and analyze system specifications and functional requirements to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Participate in test case reviews and provide feedback on requirements and design specifications.
• Monitor and report on testing progress, and provide detailed test reports to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve testing processes and practices to enhance overall product quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Knowledge of mobile testing and automation tools.
• Understanding of database testing and SQL.
