PHP WordPress Developer

Role responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance of WordPress-based websites and plugins.
• Collaborating with other developers to implement and customize WordPress themes.
• Writing clean, well-structured, and efficient PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS code.
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues in existing WordPress websites and plugins.
• Supporting cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility for all websites and plugins.
• Working on website performance optimization and loading time improvements.
• Integrating third-party APIs and services into WordPress websites.
• Collaborating with the team to define project requirements and deliver high- quality solutions.
• Staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in WordPress development.
• Keeping documentation and maintenance of coding standards and guidelines.

Key skills and experience:

•  Experience of at least 2 years in WordPress development, including basic theme and plugin concepts.
•  Knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
•  Experience in responsive design and development principles.
•  Experience in front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., Bootstrap, jQuery).
•  Awareness of web accessibility standards and best practices.
•  Experience of database management like MySQL.
•  Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience of RESTful APIs and integration.
•  Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug code.
•  Attention to detail and commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.
•  Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other developers, designers, and stakeholders.
•  Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum guidance.
•  Any personal projects or code samples demonstrating basic WordPress development skills would be beneficial.
