QA Manager

About the Position

We are looking to hire a skilled QA Manager who is going to oversee the entire QA process, including team management and strategy. They will coordinate with development and product teams to ensure quality objectives are met, while also setting up test plans, defining standards, and managing QA resources efficiently.

Must have skills

● Minimum 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
● Proven track record of building, mentoring, and managing QA teams in a high-growth start-up environment
● Strong experience in both manual and automation testing, with a deep understanding of test automation frameworks
● Experience with agile development models and collaboration with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Product, Development)
● Expertise in testing tools such as OWASP ZAP, Postman, JMeter, Selenium, and others
● Solid knowledge of testing methodologies, techniques, and tools like JIRA, TestRail, Qase, and other bug-tracking/test management platforms
● Ability to drive and manage the entire QA lifecycle, including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting
● Strong experience in web, API, and performance testing
● Experience in designing and documenting detailed test strategies, plans, scenarios, and cases
● Hands-on experience with functional testing and reporting defects, ensuring delivery of high-quality products
● Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor, guide, and grow the QA team
● Exceptional organizational and communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders, ensuring clear reporting on testing progress and quality metrics
● A detail-oriented approach with a focus on delivering top-quality results while managing tight deadlines

Nice to have skills:

● Working knowledge of automation testing frameworks like Cypress, Appium, or similar
● Experience with database testing (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with database performance optimization
● Background in e-commerce or SaaS platforms
● Exposure to mobile testing (iOS and Android)
● Strong understanding of DevOps processes and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
