Your Role
We are looking for a marketing specialist to run marketing programs via email and SMS for all of O Positiv’s growing suite of products. This individual will be an enthusiastic marketer who loves thinking about customer needs, design, analytics, and how best to communicate with customers about product value propositions. This individual will have demonstrated analytical rigor and excitement around health, wellness, email marketing, and DTC marketing. The role will own the process and operations of our email and SMS marketing activities, including strategy of messages sent, content principles, campaign and flow operation, testing, and reporting.
We are looking for someone who is hyper-analytical and data-obsessed, with a positive, entrepreneurial spirit. The ideal candidate can manage and own the performance of email and SMS channels, is able to work with multiple stakeholders, and can ensure all projects are executed within deadlines. As the Marketing Specialist, you’ll be responsible for staying on top of industry trends and making data-informed decisions to deliver against sharp KPIs. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and startup culture, and is excited to set and meet aggressive goals.
The Marketing Specialist reports to the Email Marketing Manager and will work cross-functionally within the organization to further expand marketing efforts and develop our product and brand.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Primary ownership of the email & SMS program including revenue, growth, engagement, and deliverability
- Cross-functional collaboration with other team members and departments around calendar planning, creative execution, and copywriting to create well thought out marketing campaigns that support business goals.
- Manage and execute weekly CRM tactics to increase customer LTV via communications that reflect O Positiv’s brand value proposition, visual equity and voice.
- Lead sprint ideation process with key leaders in organization, staying abreast of industry trends while bringing an appetite to challenge the status quo and daring to be innovative.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to manage the growth and maintenance of our customer database, including via new initiatives designed to increase email and phone number capture.
- Implement and optimize flow/drip campaigns that increase engagement and retention including welcome, post purchase, abandon carts, and more.
- Own analytics and reporting on a weekly and monthly basis around channel KPI's.
- Lead ideation and A/B test efforts to drive continuous growth on all channel KPI's.
- Keep up-to-date with a comprehensive understanding of email, SMS, and retention marketing best practices.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience:
- Analytics experience with Excel or in a quantitative field
- Understanding of wellness, beauty, or CPG brands from a consumer perspective
- Curiosity about how marketing works for a growing company
- Proven optimization of a process towards good return on investment
- Bachelor’s Degree

Additional Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Startup and/or e-commerce experience is a plus
- Passion for e-commerce, consumer retail and/or digital marketing is a plus
Hours and Compensation
The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $70,000 - $90,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

- Position will be based out of Santa Monica, Los Angeles - in person (Mon-Thurs in office/Friday remote)
