As we are in a very early stage, the equity offering is the only part of the conversation until we are funded. This will be subject to a probationary and vesting period.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Manager with a deep understanding of the Web3 industry. The ideal candidate will provide strategic legal guidance, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and manage legal risks associated with our innovative projects in blockchain, cryptocurrency, and decentralized technologies.

*Key Responsibilities: *

Legal Strategy and Advice:
Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the company’s goals in the Web3 space. Provide legal counsel to executive leadership on various aspects of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and tokenomics.

Regulatory Compliance:
Monitor and analyze changes in laws and regulations affecting the Web3 ecosystem. Advise on compliance with relevant legislation, including securities laws, anti-money laundering (AML), and data privacy regulations.

Contract Management:
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including partnership agreements, licensing agreements, and terms of service. Ensure all contracts comply with legal standards and align with business objectives.

Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with new products, services, and technologies. Develop risk management strategies to protect the company’s interests in the rapidly evolving Web3 landscape.

Dispute Resolution:
Oversee the resolution of legal disputes, including litigation and arbitration. Work closely with external counsel as needed to manage legal proceedings effectively.

Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of legal professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment, providing guidance on legal matters and professional development opportunities.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, compliance, and finance, to ensure alignment on legal issues. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding legal matters.

*What will you bring? *

Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of legal experience, with a focus on the Web3 industry, blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, or related fields. Experience in-house at a technology or Web3 company is preferred.

Knowledge:
Strong understanding of Web3 technologies, including blockchain, decentralized finance (DeFi), and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing cryptocurrency and digital assets.

Skills:
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
