AI/ML Engineer

What You'll Do:
As our AI/ML Engineer, you'll be responsible for identifying, customizing, and deploying AI models that make Lil Smiley sharp, witty, and contextually humorous. Here’s how you’ll be contributing to the future of AI-powered humor:
Identify and Customize Existing AI Models: Evaluate various LLMs (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, Bloom, or open-source models) to determine the best fit for Lil Smiley’s needs. Fine-tune and adapt these models to deliver responsive, context-aware, and humorous interactions.
Train Models on Proprietary Data: Use data from our community (like Discord conversations, social media content, and user-submitted jokes) to train and refine the AI’s responses, ensuring it can deliver humor that’s both relevant and cost-efficient.
Efficient Deployment & Cost Optimization: Design deployment strategies that balance performance and cost. Whether it’s on-device processing, cloud-based hosting, or a hybrid approach, ensure that Lil Smiley’s AI is scalable, responsive, and efficient.
Leverage AI/ML Libraries & Tools: Use frameworks like Hugging Face Transformers, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and others to customize and deploy AI models. Utilize tools that enable quick experimentation, optimization, and efficient model serving.
Model Evaluation & Testing: Evaluate model outputs for humor quality, contextual accuracy, and response times. Use A/B testing and user feedback to continually improve the AI’s performance and humor delivery.
Collaborate for Creativity & Integration: Work with cross-functional teams (including content, design, and product) to ensure Lil Smiley's AI delivers on the brand's personality. Collaborate on integrating the AI into hardware and user-facing applications.
Stay Updated on AI Trends: Keep abreast of the latest developments in the AI/ML world. Experiment with and integrate emerging technologies to ensure Lil Smiley remains on the cutting edge of AI-driven humor.

What We're Looking For:
Deep Knowledge of LLMs & AI Landscape: Familiarity with the current LLM space, including open-source models, commercial APIs, and model fine-tuning practices.
Customization & Deployment Skills: Hands-on experience with customizing existing LLMs, deploying them efficiently, and training them with proprietary datasets for specific use cases.
Strong Python & AI Framework Skills: Proficiency in Python and AI/ML libraries such as Hugging Face Transformers, PyTorch, and TensorFlow for model training and deployment.
Model Performance Optimization: Ability to optimize models for cost and performance, ensuring they run efficiently on a variety of platforms (on-device, cloud-based, or hybrid).
NLP & Conversational AI Background: Solid understanding of NLP and conversational AI to craft engaging, contextually relevant responses.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong troubleshooting skills to improve AI response quality and delivery, as well as the capacity to experiment with different models and training approaches.
