As a Box Truck Manager/Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the daily operations of 4 to 8 owner-operator trucks, ensuring smooth, efficient, and successful operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of the freight market, and a commitment to supporting the long-term success of our drivers. We pride ourselves on providing five-star client support and fostering strong, professional relationships with our drivers.

Key Responsibilities:
Truck Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of 4-8 owner-operator trucks, working with independent drivers to ensure they receive the most profitable and efficient loads.

Load Acquisition & Negotiation: Source, negotiate, and book freight loads for drivers using load boards such as DAT and other freight-matching platforms, ensuring that the selected loads align with the drivers’ preferences, schedules, and business goals.

Pre-booking Strategy: Proactively secure and pre-book loads to optimize drivers' time on the road and minimize downtime, ensuring seamless transitions between loads.

Driver Communication: Maintain constant and clear communication with drivers regarding load details, routes, delivery schedules, and any other relevant updates. Offer prompt assistance to address any concerns or issues.

Customer Service Excellence: Deliver top-tier support to drivers, understanding their individual needs and tailoring your approach to build lasting, trust-based relationships.

Coordination & Problem Solving: Act as a liaison between drivers, brokers, and customers to ensure smooth delivery operations, resolving any logistical issues or disputes that may arise.

Data Management: Maintain accurate records of load bookings, delivery times, driver schedules, and any associated documentation, ensuring smooth administrative processes.

Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in truck dispatching, freight brokerage, or a similar logistics-related role.

Strong knowledge of load boards, such as DAT, and industry-related platforms.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build rapport with brokers, customers, and drivers.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple trucks simultaneously.

Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on providing timely, practical solutions.

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage schedules, bookings, and documentation.
