Lead Robotics Software Engineer

Job Summary:
As our Lead Robotics Software Engineer and Founding Engineer, you'll architect the core robotics software stack that powers our AI Robots. You'll have direct impact on product direction and technical architecture, working closely with founders to build breakthrough solutions in robotic manipulation, control systems, and autonomous navigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement advanced motion planning and control systems for robotic manipulation
• Build robust perception systems using multi-modal sensor fusion
• Design and optimize autonomous navigation systems for complex construction environments
• Develop and maintain high-fidelity simulation environments for rapid prototyping and testing
• Lead technical decision-making and mentor future team members
• Collaborate with mechanical and AI teams to deliver integrated robotics solutions

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's/Master's (MS or PhD) in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field
• 4-7 years of experience in Robotics, Manipulator systems, Control Systems
• Motion Planning algorithms for 6DOF manipulators
• Strong foundation in control theory and algorithms relevant to robotic systems
• Expertise in creating ROS2 drivers, with proficiency in MoveIt2 for manipulation and Nav2 for navigation tasks
• Proficiency in using simulation environments like Isaac Sim for realistic scenario testing and development
• Experience with simulation tools like Gazebo, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, and RViz
• Strong understanding of control systems, including sensor fusion, Kalman filters, motion planning, and trajectory optimization
• Excellent programming skills in Python & C++ with familiarity in ROS2
• Ability to lead and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
