Our approach is to reuse the best-of-breed open systems, while filling the technology gaps in the internet ecosystem to empower everyone in the world to meaningfully use the internet for problems that are critical to people’s lives.

At Indihood, we do not have coders but software engineers who are responsible for ideas that will impact users at scale. The engineers building this platform are pioneers from Google who invented, built and launched systems that touched a billion lives – including Google’s Map Maker, Google Finance, Google Transliteration, YouTube community translation, Crowdsourced machine translation training. You will be working shoulder to shoulder with these engineers.

That’s why we are looking for the best and brightest engineering minds to work with us as we embark on our mission to help communities everywhere build digital platforms that matter to them.

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong CS fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and systems programming
• A passion for coding, creating complex systems from scratch and designing for scale
• The ability to solve challenging real-world problems
• Knowledge of large scale distributed systems like No-SQL DBs, graph DBs, hadoop/mapreduce
• Knowledge of machine learning for classification, pattern matching, non-linear optimization
• Experience in user facing systems for quasi-literate and undereducated
• Minimum 2 years work experience (product companies and startup experience will be an advantage)
