We are looking for Senior Platform Engineer to join our Engineering Platform squad, which is responsible for improving the software development lifecycle of our engineers, by building tooling, providing consultancy, supporting product teams and defining processes, which they use to develop features for our customers with more simplicity, scalability, reliability and security. As platform engineers, our objective is to build products to reduce the cognitive load of our engineers so they can focus on having more impact on our customers. Our tech stack is based on AWS, Terraform/Terragrunt, Datadog, GitHub, Kubernetes, Go and other similar technologies.

What you will do:

  • Design and develop products and features for our Internal Developer Platform, focusing on infrastructure, observability and CI/CD, among others.

  • Apply software engineering best practices to create a reliable, scalable and maintainable ecosystem of platform products.

  • Discuss requirements with the squad product manager, engineering manager and technical lead, refine them with stakeholders and use them to scope the necessary work.

  • Understand the challenges of other engineering teams, be able to deep dive into their systems and support them adopting our platform products.

  • Lead complete feature development projects.

  • Perform code reviews, focusing on improving our code and release quality.

  • Provide technical mentorship to your more junior peers.

  • Present at demo sessions, guild meetings, or tech talks.

Who you are:

  • You have at least 5 years of experience as a Platform, DevOps or Cloud Engineer.

  • You have solid experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Pulumi or others, CI/CD frameworks like GitHub Actions, Jenkins or others, cloud providers like AWS, GCP or Azure, and monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus or others.

  • You have a proven track record architecting and leading complex technical solutions.

  • You have experience with backend software development and you feel comfortable using languages such as Go, Java, C# or similar.

  • You have excellent communication skills and a product oriented mindset.

  • You like being challenged and you are willing to learn and grow, and, eventually, become a technical lead.

  • You feel comfortable mentoring your colleagues and helping them grow their technical skills.

  • You have a sense of pragmatism, constantly finding the right balance between achieving technical excellence and delivering value to the end users.

  • You engage with your team and all the engineering group actively, sharing knowledge and best practices in order to improve with them every day.
