We’re looking for someone to join the Datadog Procurement team and help expand the Strategic Sourcing group. Make an impact by being a trusted subject matter expert in several buying categories and continuing to prove the value that Strategic Sourcing brings to the organization.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead Strategic Sourcing projects specifically in the Professional Services, HR, Construction, Travel and Office Operations categories, but also support Technology, SaaS, Marketing, etc. when needed. This includes following a documented, collaborative evaluation process; and developing action plans for net-new purchases and upcoming renewals
- Analyze spend data, proactively identify potential cost savings opportunities and execute subsequent strategies to address opportunities
- Develop strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders and collaborate on strategizing the purchase plan, negotiating pricing and other business terms with vendors on net-new purchases and complex, high spend renewals
- Create pricing models based on vendor proposals to quantify various buying scenarios related to our future growth and current demand
- Assist teams to independently evaluate their best practices and adopt a value-driven mindset when purchasing on behalf of the organization.
Who You Are:
- Experienced in 5+ years supporting procurement through strategic sourcing with a history of negotiated savings in the focus categories
- Someone who has experience at a high-growth company and understands the nuances of expanding offices, working on global initiatives, leveraging buying power and breaking down potential silos
- Confident with analyzing and presenting complex data to executives and business unit partners
- Incredibly organized, diligent and able to own several projects at once
- Proven track record of creating strong partnerships with stakeholders
- Proficient at analyzing cost related to future growth and current demand
- Comfortable operating within gray areas
- Understands optimization levers such as demand management, consolidation, price negotiation, etc.
- Someone who holds a Bachelor’s degree in a related field

- Experience with Coupa, Jira and Zylo is a plus
