This is only an equity-based, part-time role for a startup that is launching soon. We’re looking for someone who loves what we’re building and understands the problem we’re solving. Essentially, this is a co-founder position, and we want someone who resonates with the vision of AroundU, specializes in growth, customer acquisition, and retention, and is familiar with the B2C social space.

*Key Responsibilities:

Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive GTM strategy to drive AroundU’s user acquisition and expansion into new regions.
- Identify target user segments (students, professionals, hobbyists) and tailor marketing campaigns accordingly.
- Plan the product launch roadmap and ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels.
Customer Acquisition:
- Lead the creation and optimization of acquisition campaigns across multiple channels (social media, paid ads, SEO, partnerships, influencer marketing).
- Drive growth through performance marketing, leveraging platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and others.
- Monitor key acquisition metrics (CAC, LTV, ROI) and optimize spend for efficiency.
Growth Hacking and Virality:
- Leverage referral programs and word-of-mouth marketing to create organic growth loops.
- Innovate on growth hacking tactics to acquire users at a low cost.
User Retention and Engagement:
- Develop retention strategies to increase user engagement and lifetime value.
- Collaborate with the product team to implement features or in-app events (polls, badges, premium lobbies) that drive user activity.
- Monitor churn rates and create re-engagement campaigns to win back inactive users.
Brand Building and Community Engagement:
- Build and grow the AroundU brand through storytelling, social media content, and community engagement initiatives.
- Run local events, contests, or meetups to activate users and bring the brand to life.
- Collaborate with local influencers, clubs, or organizations to create partnerships that boost awareness.
Data and Analytics:
- Define and track key growth metrics (MAUs, DAUs, engagement rates, retention, etc.) to guide marketing decisions.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and uncover growth opportunities.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the founders to align on the company’s growth goals and priorities.
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to ensure seamless user experiences that drive retention.
- Build a growth marketing team over time as the company scales.

- Experience: 3+ years in a high-growth marketing role, ideally having taken B2C apps from early stages to market success. Previous experience as a founder or in launching consumer-facing apps is highly preferred.
- Proven Success: A strong track record of creating high-impact campaigns that drive buzz, engagement, and viral growth. Ability to manage both online and offline marketing strategies.
- Hustler Mentality: A go-getter who can create and execute creative, scrappy marketing campaigns on tight budgets. You know how to make things happen, create FOMO, and excite users.
- Event Management: Experience holding events, activations, or stunts to drive community engagement and user acquisition.
- Growth Hacker: Adept at using data-driven insights to drive user acquisition, optimize funnels, and boost retention through innovative strategies.
- Leadership: Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead, take ownership, and drive growth at every stage. Passionate about building and growing a community-focused product.
