Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Equity-Based Role

We are building Airena, an innovative platform designed to revolutionize the gaming and sports content ecosystem in India. Airena will empower gaming enthusiasts, content creators, and brands by offering a dynamic ecosystem for live-streaming, content creation, and e-commerce. Our goal is to create a platform that enables seamless interaction between users, brands, and creators, all while providing real-time shopping and engagement experiences.

We are seeking a highly-skilled and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join us as a co-founder. This position is equity-based, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a cutting-edge platform and grow the business from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:
Technology Vision & Strategy:

Define and execute the overall technology strategy, ensuring alignment with the business goals.
Lead the development of the platform, including both frontend and backend, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
Drive product innovation by staying updated on the latest tech trends in the gaming, sports, streaming, and e-commerce sectors.

Platform Development & Architecture:

Oversee the design and architecture of a robust, scalable, and high-performing platform.
Manage the full software development lifecycle, including ideation, development, testing, and release.
Select the most appropriate technology stack (Node.js, Next.js, React.js, etc.) and guide development choices that balance cost, speed, and future growth.
Ensure integration of features like user authentication (Google Auth), content management (Strapi), real-time streaming, in-video product recommendations, and social media embedding.

Team Building & Leadership:

Recruit, manage, and mentor a technical team, including developers, QA engineers, and DevOps personnel.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the team.
Work closely with other departments (Product, Marketing, and Operations) to ensure seamless integration between technical development and business operations.

Infrastructure & Security:

Implement and oversee the platform’s infrastructure to ensure high uptime, scalability, and security.
Ensure data security, user privacy, and compliance with relevant legal and regulatory standards.

Collaboration with Founders:

Collaborate with the founding team to iterate and refine the MVP based on customer feedback and market demand.
Provide technical insights and advice to help with business decisions, roadmaps, and scaling the product.
Partner with business stakeholders and help in fundraising by showcasing the platform's technical viability.

Ownership & Accountability:

Own the technical delivery timelines and quality of the product.
Continuously optimize platform performance, infrastructure costs, and team productivity.
