Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder and Biller with at least two years of experience in the healthcare industry, specifically using "Office Practicum" software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate coding of medical procedures and diagnoses, as well as processing and submitting medical claims to insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities:
Medical Coding:

Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses and procedures based on medical records.
Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Billing Operations:

Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies using "Office Practicum."
Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any discrepancies.
Communicate with insurance companies to address claims denials or issues.
Patient Interaction:

Assist patients with billing inquiries and provide clear explanations of charges and insurance benefits.
Collect patient payments and manage accounts receivable.
Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of coding and billing activities.
Generate reports related to coding and billing for management review.
Collaboration:

Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure accurate coding and documentation.
Participate in team meetings to discuss updates in coding guidelines and billing procedures.
Qualifications:
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical coding and billing (CPC, CCA, or similar) preferred.
Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding and billing.
Proficient in using "Office Practicum" software.
