About the job
Pattern Labs is on a mission to bring predictability and efficiency to the most demanding, fastest paced, dynamic logistics problem of airport operations. We are a venture backed Autonomy/AI Robotics team developing a suite of tools to enhance and improve operations for airports across the country and around the world.
Candidates should be experienced leaders with a strong entrepreneurial streak. They will be ready to contribute broadly across all cloud software aspects with a hands-on leadership approach. You will be working with customers and coordinating the activities of hundreds of vehicles to facilitate the movement of tens of thousands of deliveries per day. Ideal candidates have experience with cloud systems at production scale, and are probably considering founding their own software startup. At Pattern, we value enthusiasm, energy, humility, grit, and a can-do attitude.
About The Role
This Software Manager role is an opportunity to grow a small team with an MVP into a polished software product that provides value in the real world. It will require a blend of technical leadership, personal development & coaching, and direct software contributions.
An ideal candidate would be someone with 5+ years of industry experience with at least 2 in a leadership role in the areas of cloud software development and production deployments.
Candidates should be comfortable with Python and understand the challenges associated with production cloud software deployments.
The role includes substantial autonomy for this leader to build the skills and capabilities of their team while creating a vision and direction for a line of products with significant impact to our organization. Someone with a desire to accomplish big things while helping those around them become better engineers will excel.
About Pattern Labs
The team is nestled in the foothills of Colorado's Rocky Mountains with virtually unlimited frontdoor access to hiking, climbing, mountain biking, snow skiing, camping, trail running, kayaking, craft beer, and incredible food.
We have a flexible, work-from-home friendly, style of operation - but candidates should be willing to relocate to the greater Boulder/Denver area. We are building robots, and interaction with the hardware and in-person testing is a key aspect of all roles.
We offer health benefits and generous PTO packages. Our office is dog friendly, has unlimited snacks & drinks, flexible working hours (get out for the pow day!), and lots of rock climbing & skateboarding.
At Pattern we are committed to being a fun, groundbreaking, and inclusive place to work. We strongly encourage engineers from BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and traditionally underrepresented backgrounds to apply.
