Qualifications:
Experience with generative AI tooling, including Stable Diffusion and Comfy UI
Proven experience as a Technical Artist or in a similar role within video game development.
Strong understanding of art pipelines and experience working with game engines (Unreal, Unity, Godot, etc.).
Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Maya, Blender) and texturing tools (e.g., Substance Painter, Photoshop).
Expertise in writing and optimizing shaders (HLSL, GLSL, Shader Graph, or Godot's visual shader editor).
Role Overview
As a Technical Artist, you will act as the bridge between the art and engineering teams, ensuring that the game’s artistic vision is realized while maintaining performance and technical stability. You will be responsible for creating efficient art pipelines, assisting with shaders and visual effects, and optimizing assets for the game engine. Your role will be critical in ensuring the technical and aesthetic quality of our game assets and helping create immersive game worlds.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain art pipelines and tools to improve workflow and asset integration across the team.
Collaborate with programmers to create high-quality visual effects, shaders, and lighting techniques.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to art production, shaders, and in-game assets.
Research and develop new tools and techniques to optimize rendering, materials, and art processes.
Implement and optimize 3D models, textures, and animations in the game engine (e.g., Unreal, Unity, Godot).
