Database Developer

Full Time
Experience: 2-5 Years
Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
Location: Remote/ Hybrid(Gurgaon/Noida, India)

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Database Developer to join our Database Team. Proficiency in working with relational databases, particularly Postgres, is essential. Familiarity with MongoDB or equivalent noSQL databases is desirable. You will play an important role in maintaining and enhancing our data quality and accessibility, contributing to our analytics solutions that drive strategic decisions for our clients worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a compact team of developers to conceptualize and develop production-ready solutions that exhibit and fulfill the required functionality.
• Develop stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and complex SQL code using joins, subqueries, etc.
• Modify databases according to requests and perform tests
• Solve database usage issues and malfunctions
• Improve the performance and optimize SQL queries to get the best results
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Ensure code quality, readability, and adherence to industry best practices, including comprehensive logging for monitoring and debugging.
• Collaborate across teams to identify valuable data insights for client reporting and analysis.
• The individual must be a self-starter working within a team environment, and who can take ownership for the development and support of SQL-based reporting, data extract/imports, system-to-system integration, and daily job streams

Required Skills:

• Proficient in SQL, with hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers
• Strong understanding of Postgresql built-in functions, concepts
• Strong knowledge and expertise in query optimization and performance tuning
• Proven work experience as a Database developer. In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring)
• Ability to understand frontend user requirements and have a problem-solving attitude
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Desirable Skills:
• Hands-on experience in Python programming language
• Experience with Python frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask) is a plus.
