Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Your tasks

1. In exchange with our machine learning experts, you will constantly develop and train our existing and new models and research new approaches and solutions together with the team.
2. The independent development of new machine learning pipelines (AWS Sagemaker e.g.) as well as the integration of serverless applications.
3. Integration of the developed models into the idealo value chain as a scalable, maintainable product in interaction with many other teams.
4. The continuous optimization of our cloud-native system.
5. Make decisions about new architectures and solution approaches together with the team.
6. The joint development of feedback loops to generate new training data as part of the machine learning lifecycle.
7. Active participation in the company's strategy and vision and leading independent discussions with teams and colleagues.

Must haves:

1. You question the status quo, work in a solution-oriented manner and communicate new ideas with your team.
2. Experience in the area of machine learning (natural language processing, transformer models, ML OPS).
3. You already have experience in one of the common cloud foundations (AWS, Google Cloud) and would like to expand this further.
4. You are familiar with topics such as serverless and infrastructure as code (IAC).
5. You are confident in the following programming languages/technologies: Python, PyTorch.
6. You must have your own work gear to perform your work.
7. You are authentic and communicative.

Nice to haves:

1. You are a doer and ideally accompany you on the way to overcoming the next technology hurdle.
2. Experience with image/text classification, entity resolution or multimodal models.
3. Java, Scala, Spark.
