Now Hiring for Pumpkins After Dark Houston! Pumpkins After Dark is a family friendly fall festival. The event is an art installation walk-through with 10,000+ hand-carved pumpkin displays.

Event Schedule

October 4– 6 | 7:30pm – 10pm
October 10 – 13 | 7:15pm – 11pm
October 17– 20 | 7:15pm – 11pm
October 24– 27 | 7pm – 11pm
October 29– 31 | 7pm – 11pm
Please note the above schedule is opening hours for the public. Staff schedule start times and end time vary depending on position.

Multiple Positions Available!

Box Office & Ticket Scanning

  • Welcoming attendees & scanning tickets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service role; must be knowledgeable about the event, friendly and outgoing attitude.

Front Entrance Usher

  • Greeting attendees, directing lineups, answering questions, controlling timed ticket entry.
  • Friendly, strong communication skills, ability to stand for long periods of time. Proper attire – this is an outdoor position.

Merchandise Crew

  • Sell event products in the merchandise store, interacting with guests and assisting with purchases.
  • Responsible for restocking and display of merchandise. Set-up and take down merchandise daily.
  • Friendly and enthusiastic. Experience handling cash, credit, and debit transactions (Square experience an asset). Sales experience is an asset. Physical strength (20lbs). Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Proper attire – this is an outdoor position.

Pumpkin Store Crew

  • Interacting with attendees in the store, selling pumpkins, restocking the pumpkins, keeping the store clean & tidy.
  • Friendly & outgoing, experience handling cash, credit, and debit transactions (Square experience is an asset). Sales experience is an asset. Physical strength and mobility

Pumpkin Pathway Greeter/Ambassador

  • Welcoming guests to the pumpkin pathway, ticket taker, directing attendees, answering questions, assisting guests access the pathway. Will act as a floater to cover other roles when needed.
  • Friendly, outgoing, ability to speak loudly. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Willingness to learn other roles to assist as floater when needed. Proper attire – this is an outdoor position.

Pathway Patrol

  • Monitor pumpkin pathway, assist in the flow of traffic through the event, monitor for possible safety concerns, keeping guests on designated path, customer service.
  • Friendly, outgoing, ability to speak loudly. Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time. Proper attire – this is an outdoor position.

Maze & Games

  • Manage line-ups, sell tickets to maze & games, explain how to play, and ensure a safe and fun environment for guests.
  • Friendly, outgoing, ability to speak loudly. Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time. Proper attire – this is an outdoor position.
