Civi (www.gocivi.com) is building a new digital movement for people who want to engage and organize with people who hold different views than their own on the issues they care most about. We aim to bring together the 77% of Americans who believe that our differences are not strong enough to keep us from coming together. We are an early stage startup registered as a public benefit corporation in the state of Delaware.

Job Description
We are looking for a new CEO to move Civi beyond product launch to scale. The individual will be responsible for overall management and oversight of strategy development, product vision and features conceptualization, team building and recruitment, investor, client and partner relations, brand and marketing, content development, and financial management.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is strongly aligned with Civi's mission. The ideal candidate should also be independently driven, a creative thinker, and someone who can be trusted to deliver. This is the ideal role for someone who wants to take on the challenge of building a successful civic tech startup from a foundation that already has a developed product and a small amount of cash reserves.

Compensation
This role would receive 25-30% equity in Civi PBC vested over a two year period with a one year cliff effective as of the selected candidate’s start date. It will be unpaid initially, although a salary will be provided as soon as we have sufficient financial resources.
