Snowbus LTD (dba Reservewinter, Snowgroup) is an innovative and fast-paced startup on a mission to change winter sports travel forever. We are at the forefront of the space and are rapidly scaling our operations; as we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as Chief of Staff. This role is pivotal to our success, requiring a blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and leadership across multiple business functions.
Position Summary
The Chief of Staff is a hands on role acting as a key leader within our organization and this role is critical in managing and driving our finance and fundraising efforts, product and business development, operations, and beyond.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in startup fundraising and product growth, budgeting and cash flow management, growth, and operational leadership.
- They will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of our business run smooth, from working closely with development partners, to tax and accounting experts, to managing product development and operational needs.
- This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is eager to take on a diverse set of responsibilities.
Roles and Responsibilities
Finance and Fundraising:
- Own the financial modeling and budgeting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company objectives.
- Lead fundraising efforts, including pitch deck preparation, investor sourcing and relations, and managing the Virtual Data Room (VDR).
- Manage cash flow models, valuations, and work closely with legal, accounting, and tax advisors.
Business Development:
- Lead and manage all business development initiatives, including identifying and pursuing new market opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, clients, and stakeholders.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of applications to relevant programs and accelerators. Product Management:
- Collaborate with the CTO and development partners to manage product development and address any issues that arise.
- Work closely with the product team to ensure timely delivery of product features and enhancements.
- Drive product strategy and align it with the overall business goals.
Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day operational needs, including sourcing and onboarding talent.
- Implement and manage administrative processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
- Work closely with external partners, including accountants, lawyers, and other service providers, to support business operations.
Investor Relations:
- Coordinate communication and reporting with investors, ensuring transparency and trust.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of board meetings and investor updates.
Leadership and Strategy:
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO.
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute on strategic initiatives and drive business growth.
- Serve as a culture carrier, helping to foster a positive and high-performing work environment.
Position Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within a startup or fast-paced environment, ideally with experience in multiple business functions.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and fundraising.
- Excellent product management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage business development initiatives and drive operational efficiency.
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities, with a track record of driving business growth and success.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
