Job Summary:

We are seeking a Testing Intern with a keen interest in software testing. Smart and good analytical skills are required to work as a team member in the testing role to deliver a high-quality product to the customer. The ideal candidate should have the ability to test software with test techniques early in the cycle and identify defects. They should understand the requirements and think through all possible use cases for integration between a few applications to test, along with foundational knowledge of Linux and MySQL.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding software testing methodologies.
• Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing to ensure the quality and performance of software applications.
• Develop, document, and maintain test cases and test scenarios.
• Execute test cases, identify issues, and log defects using tracking tools.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand product requirements and provide feedback on testability.
• Participate in review meetings and provide updates on testing progress.
• Assist in the preparation of test plans and test strategies.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting of issues related to test environments and software.
• Maintain and enhance test scripts and test data.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Bachelor’s degree related to technical field.
• Has a basic understanding of functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Is familiar with SDLC and STLC processes.
• Has basic knowledge of Linux and MySQL.
• Is proficient in using documentation tools like MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Is curious, eager to learn, and has a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Is willing to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Good to have:

• Experience with testing tools and frameworks.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing and SQL queries.
• Familiarity with any bug tracking tools.
• Knowledge of automation testing would be a plus.
