Tech Lead

We’re looking for an ambitious, structured, and business-oriented individual with a strong technical foundation who is ready to take on the challenge of becoming a Tech Lead as we continue to grow and expand our business – the first of its kind one-stop digital platform for self-employed people, freelancers, project workers, independent consultants, entrepreneurs. Independent Doers.

The position
This role is perfect for a seasoned developer who is eager to transition into a leadership role while continuing to be involved in coding and technical decisions. You’ll receive mentorship from senior leaders and will mentor junior developers as you grow into a full-fledged Tech Lead.

• You have 5+ years of experience
• Your competencies include: * Experience in building B2C/B2B platforms using either of the following stack: Vue.js/Nuxt.js, React.js/Next.js, Svelte/Sveltekit (we're currently using Nuxt) * Experience with mobile-first, SEO-friendly, highly-performant web applications * Experience with API-driven development (REST/GraphQL) * Strong JavaScript/ES6+/HTML5/CSS skills * Knowledge of Functional Programming and OOP paradigms * Automated JavaScript unit and integration testing (e.g. Jest/Mocha) * Experience with Stripe and/or other online payment processing * Experience with Headless CMS (e.g. Prismic, Contentful) * TypeScript experience * PWA, a11y, i18n experience * Lean-thinking, design-thinking and other patterns, and best practices

Your focus

• Continously set the direction for and build the overall tech strategy and roadmap – securing a state-of-the-art platform with a unique user-experience and the highest level of security.
• Together with the DO team, prioritise proper initiatives to support and secure succesful implementation of the tech strategy and roadmap – leading us to the state-of-the-art platform.
• Spend approximately 50% of your time coding and 50% on leadership tasks such as setting technical direction, code reviews, and mentoring the team. This includes, but is not limited to, adjustments and updates on existing user experience features, implementing new user experience features, adjusting and/or implementing new user logic, getting new partners on the platform, creating new standard APIs for partner integration etc. This balance ensures that you stay sharp technically while developing your leadership skills.

Location
While our main hub is in Singapore, we are specifically looking to expand our team in India for this role. We’re seeking candidates who can operate effectively in a remote or hybrid environment from India.
