Our mission is to fuel human creativity and we need your help to keep inspiring the human to go places and capture epic moments. Short form content continues to explode and we’re looking for a filmmaker who is amped on expanding our short form content at Moment.

Yes. Moment offers a steady role that doesn’t require you pitching all day long. Freelance is an amazing experience, but if you’re looking to re-join a full time team, then this role could be for you. Most of the Moment team has come from freelance before joining the team.
What You’ll Be Doing?
You’ll be leading out short form content.
- Shooting / Editing - the majority of what our filmmakers are doing every day.
- Learning about our audience and what’s working / not working.
- Generating content ideas - you get to generate your own content ideas for our audience.
- Publishing short form content across social and our site.
- Engaging with our audience across social and Discord.
- Collaborating with our internal gear team to launch products for Moment brands.
- Collaborating with our sellers and brands to help them market their goods to our audience.
- Participating in campaign shoots as a filmmaker and editor.
- Tracking performance - data helps us make our ideas and content better..
What Qualifications Are We Looking For?
Candidates residing in or near LA are a requirement, as you'll need to work closely with our existing filmmakers. If you're not currently in the LA area, you should be willing to relocate.
- Direct experience publishing short form content.
- A relatively fast editor or a willingness to improve at it. Filmmakers at Moment edit their own content and being efficient is important. Proficient in editing programs, DaVinci Resolve & Adobe Premiere are used internally.
- Direct experience engaging with communities on YT, TikTok, or IG.
- Comfortable on camera, able to bring your own personality to your ideas.
- Love talking about gear and showing people how to get the most of it.
- High energy, this role is too exciting to be boring.
- Ideally an active member of online filmmaking communities, producing content for an audience you understand.
- Having a YouTube, Twitter, IG, or TikTok channel is appreciated.
- Organized, hard-working, and diligent.
- Knowledge in motion graphics and animation is a significant plus.
Compensation And Benefits:
We keep it simple.
- Salary w/ 3x per year reviews.
- Profit Share
- Medical: $400 monthly stipend for medical OR full health insurance. Your choice.
- Equipment: $1,000 a year for your own equipment.
- Required company off-sites three times per year.
