The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Head of Content Strategy to lead our content efforts across our portfolio. In this high-impact role, you'll:

  • Drive the implementation of our 10x content strategy across all channels
  • Establish SimplyCodes as the authoritative voice in online savings and e-commerce knowledge
  • Lead the development of a cohesive brand voice and messaging framework
  • Optimize content performance through data-driven decision making
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to amplify content impact
  • Drive innovation in content formats and distribution, including YouTube strategy and podcast development

You'll report directly to the CEO and play a key role in strategic marketing initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with business goals across all major platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, blog, email)
  • Lead content creation and optimization for SimplyCodes' YouTube channel, aiming for significant subscriber and view growth
  • Implement and optimize SEO strategies to drive organic traffic growth
  • Collaborate with product and AI teams to create content that showcases our technology
  • Develop and manage the content calendar, ensuring consistent high-quality output across all channels
  • Lead data analysis to inform content strategy and demonstrate ROI
  • Mentor and develop a team of content creators, fostering a culture of excellence
  • Represent Demand.io's content practice at industry conferences

A Day in the Life

As Head of Content Strategy at Demand.io, you might:

  • Review and provide feedback on a new long-form YouTube video script
  • Analyze cross-platform performance data to identify opportunities for content optimization
  • Meet with the AI team to plan content around new product features
  • Develop the editorial calendar for the upcoming quarter, ensuring cohesive messaging across all platforms
  • Brainstorm ideas for the SimplyCodes podcast with the production team
  • Present content performance metrics to the executive team, influencing overall marketing strategy

About You

We're open to exceptional candidates at various levels - title and compensation will be commensurate with experience and impact.

Must-Haves:

  • 10+ years of experience in content strategy, preferably in B2C tech or e-commerce
  • Proven track record in developing and executing multi-channel content strategies, with a strong emphasis on video content (especially YouTube)
  • Expertise in SEO and data-driven content optimization
  • Experience in creating content for AI-powered products or features
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in podcast production or other multimedia content formats
  • Background in e-commerce or financial technology content
  • Familiarity with community-driven content creation strategies
  • Publications or speaking engagements related to content strategy or e-commerce
  • Advanced degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field

Compensation & Growth Opportunity

At Demand.io, we align individual success with company performance:

  • Competitive base salary: $180,000 - $250,000 DOE
  • Equity: 0.5% - 1.0% initial grant in a $100M+ valuation company

  • Substantial cash bonuses tied to company performance

  • Potential to earn multiples of base salary through monthly profit-sharing
