Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Project & Supply Chain Manager to oversee the development and delivery of industrial composting machines. The ideal candidate will manage project timelines, coordinate supply chain activities, and integrate expertise in NPI, mechanical engineering, electrical & PLC systems. This role involves ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all technical and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage projects related to the development and introduction of industrial composting machines, overseeing all phases from initial concept through to production and deployment.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Direct supply chain activities to ensure the timely procurement and delivery of components and materials. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to optimize sourcing, logistics, and inventory management.
- Mechanical Engineering Integration: Work with engineering teams to ensure that mechanical designs and specifications for composting machines are integrated effectively into project plans and production processes.
- Electrical/PLC Systems: Oversee the integration of electrical and PLC systems into composting machines, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards. Collaborate with electrical engineers to address any issues related to control systems.
- NPI Oversight: Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) processes to ensure new composting machines are successfully introduced into the market. Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to support the launch of new products.
- Budget and Timeline Management: Develop and manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within financial constraints. Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues that arise.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects and supply chain processes comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain high product standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless project execution and effective problem resolution.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in project management and supply chain processes, leveraging feedback and best practices to enhance efficiency and performance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in project management and supply chain management, with a focus on industrial machinery, mechanical engineering, and electrical/PLC systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, electrical/PLC systems, and industrial automation.
- Experience with NPI processes and managing complex product development projects.
- Proficiency in project management software and supply chain management tools.
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, including budget and timeline management. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Supply Chain Knowledge: Strong knowledge of supply chain management, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues related to mechanical design, control systems, and supply chain logistics.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable products.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel as needed for project site visits, supplier meetings, and production support.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
