This is a 5-day in-office role. We are tacking a highly complex problem set in a dynanic business environment. High bandwidth communication amongst engineers and with the commercial team is key to our ability to deliver.

Your Responsibilities
🍇 Leading the Ferovinum DevOps Function
As our first-ever DevOps Engineer, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape our DevOps culture from the ground up. Think of it as being the master of our vineyard—setting the best practices, selecting the right tools, and establishing processes that ensure everything runs as smoothly as a well-oiled corkscrew.
🍷 Elevating Our CI/CD Pipeline
You’ll be in charge of fine-tuning our CI/CD pipelines, making sure each release is delivered with precision and speed. Your work will help our code flow seamlessly from development to production, ensuring a smooth and reliable delivery.
🍾 Boosting Developer Productivity
Your role will empower our developers to focus on what they do best—crafting quality code. By uncorking bottlenecks, automating tasks, and streamlining workflows, you’ll help our team innovate faster and more efficiently, with minimal friction and maximum creativity.
🍇 Scaling Systems and Infrastructure
As our product offerings grow, you’ll be the key player in ensuring our infrastructure scales with them. From optimizing cloud resources to balancing the load, you’ll design systems that can handle whatever we pour into them, keeping everything running smoothly as we grow.
🍷 Growing and Mentoring the Team
Just as a great vintage takes time to develop, you’ll play a crucial role in growing our DevOps team. You’ll help with hiring and mentoring new team members, ensuring that our team is as strong and resilient as our technical foundation.
What We Look For
- Bachelor's Degree (or above) in Computer Science or similar discipline
- Proficient with common Devops tools e.g. CI/CD tools, IAC languages
- Experience building products in the cloud, AWS is preferred
- 4+ years of relevant, Devops, SRE or similar experience - prior experience working as part of a growth-focused team is a plus
- Excellent communication, organisation and prioritisation skills, and have a strong ability to deliver results within tight timelines
- Passionate to work with small & medium sized enterprises (SMEs) - these are our clients!
