About this Role:
The Procurement Specialist role primarily focuses on supporting Crusoe’s Digital Flare Mitigation (DFM) services (Crusoe's Digital Flare Mitigation system is an innovative low-cost solution that captures wasted natural gas from the oil field and converts it into electricity to power advanced, modular data centers co-located onsite). The position involves sourcing and procuring materials, equipment, and services for field operations. Key responsibilities include managing complex Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs), collaborating with stakeholders to define scope, conduct bid analyses, and oversee contract implementation.
The position requires strong skills in procurement, contract negotiation and management, risk management, and supplier relationship management. Additional duties include KPI development, inventory control, process improvement and cost savings initiatives, and administrative support for contract execution and field activities. Proficiency in Excel is essential.
A Day In The Life:
Request quotes for major equipment and materials or proposals from service providers. Prepare bid summaries to evaluate commercial proposals and provide award recommendations
Negotiate and implement Service Orders for recurring rate based field services
Negotiate and execute a variety of agreements (with the expert ability to review redlines and make recommendations) such as Master Service Agreements, Master Purchase Agreements, Consulting Agreements, EPC, MNDAs, Service Orders, PO Terms and Conditions, etc.. Applicants must be highly skilled in this area
Locate, qualify or promote possible new suppliers for services or sources of supply, develop & maintain key supplier relationships and assist with onboarding
Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders
Mentoring, supporting, cross-training, or acting as a back-up for other team members as needed
Updating key stakeholders and management on status of support requests
Tracking and ensuring Contract and Supplier compliance to terms and conditions, insurance, etc.
Ensure accurate and timely Supplier performance
Supplier Price Catalog negotiation and management within Crusoe’s Coupa (ERP) system
Assist with inventory planning / management for critical spare parts
Resolve invoice discrepancies
Performs other duties as assigned
You Will Thrive In This Role If:
Experience in direct procurement roles, such as buyer, capital project procurement, category manager, or procurement specialist
Experience in the oil and gas industry, including support for field services and major equipment procurement. Proven background in purchasing equipment for large-scale capital projects such as compressor stations, gas storage facilities, gas processing plants, booster stations, substations, or power generation and other oil & gas production related equipment (e.g., generators, transformers, tanks, skids, separators)
Thrive in an extremely challenging, fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and tasks effectively, and are dependable, efficient, and self-driven
Capability to excel in a dynamic environment where processes, procedures, and guidelines are still being defined, making prompt, thoughtful, and risk-aware decisions to achieve optimal value and meet the fast-paced needs of the business by applying your expertise and skills
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or other degree relevant to the role, or the equivalent in education and job experience (in procurement roles) combined
Obtained industry certifications such as CPM, CPSM, CPSD, MCIPS, APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or CTSC are desirable, but not required
Any experience in a similar role will be advantageous

Compensation Range:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $90,000 - $110,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
