🧠 Founding Team

The founding team has an extensive background in the legal industry, consulting, and building ML platforms.

• Shuo - CTO & Cofounder: Shuo built the ML Platform (Michelangelo) at Uber for 5+ years after which he was the head of AI & ML team at a SupportLogic (a series B startup using predictive & generative AI for customer support).
• Aizada - CEO & Cofounder: Aizada is a graduate of Harvard Law School, an attorney with 7+ years of experience including working at a top law firm such as Cooley and an ex-McKinsey consultant.
• Assel - CPO & Cofounder: Assel is a graduate of Harvard Business School and has 7 years of experience building products at FinTechs such as SoFi and Step and at large financial institutions when working at Ernst & Young. # 🔍 What we're looking for We are looking for a highly-skilled and ambitious full-stack engineer with 5+ years of developing web applications who is excited about building AI powered products to make immigration easy. In this role, you will be responsible for building the “face” of our AI-powered platform, ensuring that the user experience is as intelligent and intuitive as the technology behind it. # ✅ Responsibilities
• Work closely with the founding team to implement ALMA web applications.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality code, producing visual elements of the product.
• Develop and maintain all aspects of our web applications, ensuring high performance and seamless integration with our backend.
• Evaluate and leverage advanced JavaScript/Typescript libraries and frameworks.
• Design and implement data modeling and APIs.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge. # 🛠 Role Requirements
• 5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer with a proven track record.
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
• Advanced knowledge of React.js, Next.js and Vercel.
• Familiarity with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows such as Github actions and CircleCI
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Knowledge of front-end build tools, such as Yarn, Webpack, NPM, and Grunt.
• Proficient on taking a product design into technical design, data modeling (PostgreSQL), API (Python & FastAPI), and UI
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy the start-up culture
• BS/MS in Computer Science
• Located in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate. # ⭐️ Nice-to-haves
• Experience working in a small startup environment (Seed or Series A).
• Experience working with LLMs such as GPTs, Claude or open source LLMs.
