Monterra is an early-stage B2B SaaS startup helping EV charging installers (contractors and developers) design, plan, and sell projects faster. Swift deployment of charging infrastructure is critical to electrifying and decarbonizing transportation. Contractors and developers play a central role in this, and we help them work faster, deploy more chargers, grow sales & expand margins. Our vision is to bring automation and AI into every aspect of electrical work and enable the builders of a cleaner, electrified future.
We are looking for the company's first sales hire who will play a foundational role in jump-starting our explosive top-line growth and establishing a strong go-to-market foundation. π§βπ» Who you are
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience selling to SMB / Mid-Market accounts in a hunting role
- Demonstrated track record of above target performance, especially in an early-stage startup environment
- Entrepreneurial and scrappy self-starter: thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Comfortable operating with limited "large company sales resources" (eg, sales enablement & marketing resources)
- Experience selling to contractors in EV charging or similar industries (eg, construction, clean energy)
- Comfortable flexibly operating up- and down- the funnel (eg, lead gen, account management)
π What you'll work on
- Conduct outbound prospecting to fill your pipeline with qualified sales opportunities as well as handling inbound opportunities
- Use your creativity and tenacity to develop and improve how we target and penetrate new market segments
- Consistently achieve revenue targets by efficiently managing sales opportunities from discovery, product demos & presentations, negotiation to closures
- Plan and attend conferences, trade shows, and other field sales events
- Capture and communicate Voice of the Customer to inform product roadmap planning and company strategy
- Support GTM "foundational work" and sales strategy development - eg, work closely with founders to refine sales strategy, evolve and expand sales playbook, improve sales systems, etc.
