ABOUT DURANTA & WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Duranta was founded with the mission of helping contractors, starting with landscapers, create a more beautiful world. Every year, over 1.5 million acres of land in the US is being converted into urban dwelling areas, and we are building the platform that contractors will use to design beautiful, ecological spaces, and run efficient businesses.
We are looking for a computer graphics engineer to join our team. You’ll be responsible for designing a CAD interface that is easy, delightful, automated, and allows us to create a digital twin of the real world. You would work closely with the broader engineering team to develop and deliver features that integrate seamlessly in the rest of our application.
We are headquartered in Seattle where about 1/3 of the team resides (the rest of the team is remote: NYC & Bay Area). We currently do not have an office and the team works from home, but the entire company meets for a week, once a quarter, onsite in Seattle. We cherish this time together and would like you to be located in the Seattle area and be open to consistently spending time together in person.
Responsibilities and focus areas
- Work closely as one of two graphic engineers on Duranta's CAD efforts
- Designing real world visualizations in CAD
- Integrating third party data sets for accurate site measurements
You will thrive if you have
- Early stage startup experience
- A knack for working in small, driven teams, with high autonomy
- The desire to talk to & learn from users and collaboratively build a product together with the founders, the designer etc.
- At least 8 years of experience in building CAD applications, 3D games, or any other computer graphics related applications
- Quantitative, math-forward approach to solving problems and familiarity with computational geometry
And for extra credit
- Experience building web applications adapted for mobile devices in Javascript / Typescript
- Experience with modern JS frameworks such as React JS, React Native, SolidJS etc.
- Experience with mobile development on IOS or Android
- Experience with agile development practices
- Experience with AI
