The Risk Protocol is a unique, cutting-edge defi primitive that allows traders & investors to harness crypto volatility in an intuitive and frictionless manner. We have developed a highly sophisticated risk engine that uses advanced quantitative and econometric models to create next generation derivative products focused on managing and trading crypto risk. The product is highly scalable and has very significant TAM - there are no comparable products in crypto. The company is led and backed by highly experienced senior finance professionals with extensive backgrounds in quantitative investments, derivatives structuring and risk management. We have an equally strong developer team with broad ranging experience in web3 and fintech.

We are currently in stealth mode with the majority of development complete and target launch in fall 2024. We have a compelling strategic vision, an exceptionally strong cohesive core team, solid financial backing and the experience and operational chops to successfully execute on plan. We are seeking high-quality candidates in select roles to round out the team. Role Description & Responsibilities

We are looking for a DeFi native with substantial experience in the DeFi sector to spearhead our GTM strategy. In partnership with the founding team, you will be responsible for developing and executing upon our pre and post-launch marketing strategy. The right candidate will possess a strong understanding of both B2B and B2C user acquisition, user growth and marketing funnels across social, web3 and IRL channels. You should have the experience, the strategic vision and the leadership skills to take the initiative and own the marketing strategy. We are a small team so you also need to be fully comfortable wearing multiple hats and rolling up your sleeves and implementing the details.
We have taken great care to build a core team that is cohesive, collegial, hard-working and experts in their respective fields. Candidates will be assessed through those lens in addition to technical skills and qualifications. This is a remote role.

1. We have a product that is truly unique – your job will be to translate our technical innovation into practical, shareable communication and ensure that our target users are aware of and excited about our products
2. Plan & execute a successful launch and achieve first 12 months TVL goals
3. Utilize growth hacking methodologies to attract and retain users to our DeFI platform
4. Develop our digital communities (Twitter, Discord, Telegram etc.) and manage and engage with them effectively
5. Manage partnerships and collaborations with other DeFi projects, communities, and influencers to expand our reach and ecosystem.
6. Secure high-impact press coverage and thought leadership opportunities for The Risk Protocol
7. Gain insights into user interests and pain points, customizing solutions to align with the customer journey
8. Analyze market trends and user behavior to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
9. Monitor and report on growth metrics, providing insights and recommendations to the leadership team

Skills/Qualifications

1. Deep understanding of blockchain technology and the DeFi ecosystem. In-depth knowledge of various DeFi sectors, leading players and their marketing strategies. This is a fundamental requirement.
2. 6+ years of experience in marketing, community, social media, and growth roles. 4+ years of experience within web3 (mandatory)
3. Excellent understanding of go-to-market strategies for a blockchain project
4. Previous experience in successfully initiating and expanding a social media presence and a passionate user/developer community from scratch. Analytical and data-driven approach to building and nurturing communities
5. Demonstrated track record of delivering on growth metrics in a growth leadership role within DeFi/crypto
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and fluency in English (verbal and written)
7. Capable of working independently with minimal guidance, demonstrating self-motivation and a proactive approach to tasks. Brings new ideas to the company
8. Plugged into the crypto native network
9. Ability to execute projects quickly while maintaining high-quality standards.
