Intermediate/Senior Software Engineer (iOS, Android, React, React Native, TypeScript, Fullstack)

We are building something new and exciting at Qapital! To help us build this, we are looking for iOS, Android, Fullstack, and other software developers to join a founding team of startup-minded individuals that will lay the groundwork for our new fintech offering.

This team will play a pivotal role in spearheading innovation. As such, you will have the opportunity to shape the early architecture and design of the product, and set the trajectory for its future direction. Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust, scalable software solutions.
• Lead the development of new modules and modify/maintain existing modules as needed, driving innovation and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
• Architect and optimize systems for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Ensure seamless integration with external systems.
• Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to enhance code quality.

Minimum qualifications:

• At least 3+ years of experience working with one or more of the following depending on the role you are applying for:
  • iOS Engineers: Swift/Swift UI - familiar with SwiftUI APIs for Views, Swift Concurrency, SwiftTesting
  • Android Engineers: Java/Kotlin - familiar with State Flow, Jetpack Compose
  • Fullstack React/TypeScript Engineers: Fullstack TypeScript/Node.js and React.js / React Native (fullstack)
  • Frontend React/RN Engineers: React.js / React Native TypeScript (frontend)
  • Backend TypeScript/C# Engineers: TypeScript/Node.js and C# (backend)
  • Backend Kotlin/TypeScript Engineers: TypeScript/Node.js and Java/Kotlin (backend)
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Worked in more than one area across the technologies listed above
• Experience building developer-facing/B2B APIs/SDKs
• Worked at startups and/or fintech companies
• Familiarity with AWS

Location: Remote (Global, Preferred: Canada, India, Sweden) or Hybrid (Stockhom, Sweden)
We are a distributed team with teammates across the globe. A majority of our product and engineering teams are located in Canada, Sweden, and the US, with others in India and Singapore. We currently have an office in Stockholm, Sweden for those who prefer having an option of being able to go into the office.
