Job Description:
Join our dynamic team in Albany, NY, as an Expert Project Manager for the Medicaid Data Warehouse Bureau. This 30-month full-time role involves managing projects within the Medicaid Data Warehouse and Medicaid Analytics Performance Portal. Be a key player in the primary repository for Medicaid data in New York State.
Day-to-Day Tasks:
- Implement a Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) based methodology for project management.
- Prepare and manage comprehensive Project Management Plans, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, issues, and communication plans.
- Develop and present documents such as presentations and meeting materials.
- Track project performance to ensure goals are met.
- Facilitate communications with stakeholder groups and utilize formal project change processes.
- Conduct periodic stakeholder analysis sessions, synchronize expectations, and facilitate lessons learned.
- Develop and execute transition plans to ensure orderly project transition to Operations.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) to align project management activities with EPMO standards.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Project Manager: Plans, organizes, and integrates cross-functional information technology projects.
- Expert (84+ months): Capable of providing guidance to large teams, extensive industry experience, considered top in the field.
- 84 months managing multiple IT projects with weekly interactions with Executive-level stakeholders.
- 84 months managing COTS software implementation or in-house application development (SDLC) projects.
- 60 months developing and maintaining schedules in Microsoft Project.
- 60 months working with State, Federal, or Local government agencies.
- 48 months managing software implementation projects or in-house application development projects with industry-standard methodologies.
- 60 months working on IT projects in the Healthcare industry, specifically Medicaid or Medicare Systems.
- College degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field of study.
- 24 months holding (PMP) Project Management Professional Certification.
