About the role

We're looking for a Senior/Staff Back-End Engineer to take on a pivotal role in our expanding engineering team.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain the core back-end services and APIs that power our metric tree applications including a proprietary metrics modeling layer
• ideally Code in Python (metrics modeling and pipelining) and in Typescript (custom Trace algorithms and other metric tree services)
• Tackle core challenges in building data products such as latency, scalability, and security.
• Leverage ML/LLMs for advanced analysis and summarization features

About you

To excel in this role, you have:

• A passion for building highly performant data-intensive back-end services
• Hands-on expertise in building and scaling data transformation pipelines and ML algorithms
• A deep knowledge of data modeling principles and business metrics
• A track record at another data product startup or within a data platform team
• High proficiency to code in Python, Typescript, and Node.js. SQL expertise is mandatory.
• Adaptability to utilize bleeding edge technologies like DuckDB or a metrics layer like DBT
• Endless curiosity and a keen interest in understanding the complete product end to end
