Management Level
Location: Hong Kong

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Founder and lead the technical aspects of the company’s strategy
• Oversee the company’s IT function including application development, data engineering, analytics, architecture and infrastructure, network and system security
• Set the technical vision and strategy to ensure that the company’s technology development roadmap and system architecture is in line with business goals
• Build, lead and inspire a team of backend, frontend and mobile engineers
• Formulate IT strategies and policies to ensure IT operations and compliance
• Work closely alongside Product Team to manage product roadmap, launch new products and markets, project cycle including project design, deployment, user acceptance test, implementation and system maintenance
• Maintain a high level of quality in a fast paced environment

Requirements

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines
• At least 12 years’ experience in software development with at least 5 years at managerial level, preferably with experience in SaaS, messaging software companies and/or startups
• Extensive experience in software architecture with knowledge in web and mobile frontend development (React.js)
• Experience in leading large global scale applications, preferably in foreign or US-based companies
• Embrace agile development process including CI, and Scrum.
• Effective communicator, preferably with experience in building and growing a team of engineers
• Good sense of product; prior experience as Product Manager is a plus
• Good command of both spoken and written English; proficiency in Chinese/Cantonese is an added advantage
• Be flexible, grow, and learn quickly in a startup environment
• Good team player, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Understand what it takes to work with a startup company
