Role : Backend Engineer

Position Overview : As a backend engineer, you will be responsible for various elements contributing to our backend tech stack, which ranges from maintaining database structures and building/maintaining APIs, to handling cloud infrastructure.

Additionally, you will be expected to perform POC on new industry technology to see how well they fit certain problem statements for our business requirements. The ability to pick up new concepts quickly will be central to how well you fit into this side of your role as a backend engineer.

Your main responsibilities will be :

• Write clean and readable code to develop APIs for our web application.

• Troubleshoot and debug applications.

• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

• Maintain technical infrastructure closely coupled with any code elements worked on.

• Gather technical requirements and translate them into working back-end entities.

• Manage small team if required.

• Document and maintain testable units for any work undertaken.

To be successful in this role you need to have :

• Hands-on backend web development experience of 4+ years.

• Proficiency in NodeJS.

• Proficiency in Python/AWS.

• Strong skills with relational database - MySQL.

• Knowledge of AWS serverless architecture.

• Excellent analytical and time management skills.

• Full-time availability.
