Lead Developer - Early Stage Startup (Sports Betting industry)

About Us:

Early Stage Startup in the sports betting industry. Our concept is unique and engaging, and not fully out in the market yet. The product reached MVP stage in 2022, and it was built as a free-to-play game (PWA). This was done on an investment from a dev firm that has since pulled out of any ongoing dev work. MVP is currently still available for demo purposes only.

While we did reach MVP, it wasn't quite sufficient to really move the needle for us. Like many early stage startups, we failed to raise a significant investment. We came close to a partnership with a legal sportsbook but they felt the product was not fully consumer ready.

We are in the process of pivoting to an international strategy, which will include the creation of a new international business entity and the development of a significantly improved product (this is where you come in). Development will be overseen by our CTO and myself.

We are positioning as a B2B company that will be looking to partner with major sports brands for fan engagement on the free-to-play side, but also have our eyes on companies in the gambling industry looking to differentiate. We have a strong team of people within the industry that can open doors when our product is further along. As a pre-funding startup, we can not offer any starting salary, so we are hoping to connect with someone who has security in their full time job or enough flexibility to take on a side project with very high upside. We'd ask that you can commit a minimum of 12 hours per week on this project pre-investment.

About You:

Looking to partner with an experienced Software Engineer to help us build out the next iteration of our product. You should be comfortable working independently / remotely, and be able to commit somewhere between roughly 12-20 hours a week on this project. You should also be comfortable collaborating with our other team members as needed.
