Technical Director / CTO

Summary
We are seeking a CTO with strong experience in the Payment Industry and have led end to end projects from front-end to back-end, for both Android and iOS platforms, that serves both retail customers and business users.

Research Areas

• Oversee the design, development, testing and launch of a POS mobile application specifically designed for the taxi setting and to be launched on a specific mobile device terminal
• Oversee the development of a connected digital meter from scratch, integrating with customized hardware and underlying MCU software
• Oversee the integration with payment gateway and perform all necessary tests to ensure integration can go into production
• Development of a transaction system that connects with the meter software, the POS mobile application, payment gateway and other related systems

Responsibility

• Oversee the development of the enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics to ensure that IT delivers value to enterprise
• Lead the necessary technical solution, infrastructure, network, business applications and related IT Operations to ensure systems performance, availability, security and satisfy service level requirements
• Lead the technology team (in-house or outsourced to vendor) for all front-end and back-end development and deployment under close collaboration with Product team
• Lead the IT strategy for application delivery, technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships as well as building and managing a high performing technology team
• Identify technology-related opportunities and risks for delivering the project’s services, evaluate new technology and make recommendations on the technology solutions
• Architect and scale the technology platform to meet the project’s expanding business needs
• Develop and direct safeguards to reduce the risk of data privacy, breaches, fraud and compliance

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science / Engineering or related field
• At least 10 years of professional experience in software development
• Proven experience in mobile application development (native & hybrid), web development, IOT development and payment service integration, with good breadth of experience in multiple technologies, tools, data structures, algorithm frameworks and processes
• Able to work independently with business owners to understand requirements, with experiences and perspectives to consider complexity in roll out of digital services
• Experience in leading an agile team with software engineering practices like automated testing, test-driven development, continuous integration, etc.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin to communicate with various partners
