Role Overview

The Partner & Head of Engineering is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of digital products across multiple verticals, including healthcare, hospitality, and manufacturing. Reporting directly to the COO, you will lead a team of highly skilled developers, collaborate with clients to resolve issues, and manage relationships with tool providers for support. This role demands both strategic vision and technical expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions that meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategic Oversight

Drive engineering excellence and own the end-to-end technical delivery of client projects.

Mentor and lead a team of developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Build and scale the engineering team, identifying and recruiting top talent to meet business needs.

Define and enforce architectural standards and best practices for development.

Technical Excellence

Lead by example as a full-stack developer, contributing hands-on to projects when necessary.

Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using modern tech stacks, including Laravel, Node.js, Python, React, Angular, MySQL, MongoDB, and AWS.

Conduct code reviews to ensure optimal performance, security, and maintainability.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to align on goals, deliverables, and timelines.

Serve as the primary technical representative in client discussions, ensuring clear communication of technical solutions and updates.

Collaborate with Product Analysts to translate business requirements into actionable technical tasks.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Stay ahead of industry trends, championing the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.

Advocate for continuous learning and development within the team.

Drive initiatives to improve system performance, scalability, and user experience.

Operational Management

Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and deliverables to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

Implement Agile methodologies, promoting iterative development and rapid feedback loops.

Oversee system deployments, ensuring smooth launches with minimal downtime.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

5+ years in leadership roles within IT services or digital agencies, managing teams of 10+ developers.

Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade, distributed systems in a fast-paced environment.

Strong background in startups or agile environments, understanding the dynamics of scaling technical teams.

Technical Skills

Expertise in full-stack development using technologies like Laravel, Node.js, React, and Angular.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Proficiency in database technologies (relational and non-relational) like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.

Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, CI/CD pipelines, etc.) and Agile methodologies.

Soft Skills

Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a proven ability to build and sustain high-performing teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams.
