The Role

Special situations analysts are a key part of Reorg's editorial team. They have a comprehensive understanding of legal, regulatory and legislative processes, and are critical in helping us provide our subscribers with excellent reporting and analysis of special situations.

Repsonsibilities

• Provide day-to-day coverage of regulatory proceedings, rulemaking and legislative actions across a wide variety of cases, industries and jurisdictions.
• Report on developments on a short time frame and in accordance with Reorg Research’s style guide
• Assist with Reorg’s coverage of mergers and acquisitions including status of regulatory challenges and approvals
• Prepare long-form analysis of legal, regulatory, and legislative developments.
• Participate in teleconferences and meetings with subscribers seeking expert analysis
• Draft analysis of situations involving LRL coverage universe.
• Publish stories completely, on time, and correctly.
• Utilize Reorg legal editorial product, editorial workflow, and practices effectively.

Requirements

• Graduate with excellent academic record and 1-3 years experience as legislative or regulatory staffer, paralegal, or other legal or regulatory analysis experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• A comprehensive understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment
• Enjoys creative problem-solving and looks to take on new challenges
• The willingness and ability to travel occasionally for hearings and other industry events
