Senior UI/UX & Product Designer

Who are we and what we are looking for:

Lief is a rapidly growing social-care SaaS startup based in the UK. Through our software offerings, we’re bringing radical change in a traditionally paper-centric industry. Our users save an average of 10 hrs per week thanks to our technology; time which can be better used towards their core function of caregiving. We’re a fully remote, distributed team since our inception, with offices in London and Bangalore.
We are looking to grow our lean product team with people who’re interested in building socially impactful products and shaping the culture of Lief.

We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to drive the design vision and strategy of our product. They will be responsible for defining the user experience of our products and creating a visually appealing and intuitive user interface. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing user-centred products.

What you will be doing:

If you’re successfully hired for this role, you will be taking up the following responsibilities among others:

• Lead the UI/UX design process from research to implementation
• Define and implement design guidelines, standards, and best practices
• Collaborate with co-founders, product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand the requirements and translate them into design solutions
• Conduct user research, testing, and analysis to inform design decisions
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design solutions
• Ensure design consistency and quality across all aspects of the product
• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies

What you’ll need to bring to the table :

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
• Professional experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on SaaS products
• Strong portfolio that showcases a deep understanding of user-centred design and the design process
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proficient in Figma
• Familiarity with front-end development technologies and accessibility standards

Good to have :

• Understanding of and experience with products for the social care industry
