About the job
About the project
Our mission is to enable independence through technology. Today, full-time independent physical workers don't have a platform that enables them to manage their clients, schedule their work and get paid easily. The solutions that exist today either sit between the workers and their customers, taking a significant portion of their rate, or target other segments of the work industry.
We want to change that. We are building an extensible platform (think CRM + billing + scheduling) that will enable workers to focus on what they do best, while also building communities by emphasizing positive human interactions, rather than trying to obscure them through technology. Instead of trying to solve all sub industries from day 1, we will begin with one (adjacent to the driving industry) and expand to others as we grow.
Your role: Head of Product
We are looking for a product leader to help us accomplish this vision by taking ideas to fruition in collaboration with our world-class engineering and design team.
This is a challenging role that requires an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work in different levels of abstractions. It's also important to collaborate with users and co-workers and continuously adapt to feedback.
This is a unique opportunity of working in a well-funded startup with a bold mission. As the head of product, you will put your signature in the Product track and help shape its growth:
- Lead product development from ideation to development to launch
- Help establish a shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
- Learn from users and continuously calibrate our plans and roadmap
- Define and oversee usability and market research efforts
- Run qualitative and quantitative analysis on the product
- Adopt critical thinking in every step, challenge assumptions
- Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers and designers
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in Product Management — This is not your first rodeo 🙂
- Experience outlining and maintaining backlogs and roadmaps
- Experience working collaboratively with engineering and design teams
- Ability to express ideas in text and other formats (Figma or other design tools is a big plus)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a consumer focused technology company
- Experience hiring and managing individual contributors
- Experience building platforms or marketplaces
- Leadership experience
- Interview Process
- We will be continuously refining this process, but we will always operate under a few rules:
- We want to find if you are a good match, but just as important, throughout the process we want you to find if we are a good match for you
- We respect your time: we will never give you home assignments that could take more than 2 hours
