We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual Tester with 1-2 years of experience in testing web applications, hands-on ETL testing, and basic performance testing. The ideal candidate should have strong QA fundamentals and experience validating data pipelines and system behavior to ensure data accuracy, consistency, reliability, and acceptable performance under load.

Responsibilities

1. Analyse requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create test scenarios
2. Design and execute manual test cases for functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and performance testing
3. Perform hands-on ETL testing:
4. Validate source-to-target data mapping
5. Verify data transformation rules
6. Check data completeness, accuracy, and consistency
7. Validate data ingestion from multiple sources (APIs, files, integrations)
8. Perform basic performance testing to:
9. Identify response time issues for critical workflows
10. Validate system behavior under expected load
11. Detect bottlenecks related to data processing or integrations
12. Identify, log, and track defects using bug tracking tools
13. Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases, data issues, and performance risks
14. Collaborate with Product, Development, and Data teams to clarify functional and performance-related requirements
15. Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing
16. Ensure proper test coverage for business-critical workflows, including performance-sensitive flows

Must-have

1. 1–2 years hands-on manual testing experience on a web product (B2B SaaS a plus)
2. Solid grasp of QA fundamentals: test case design, test scenarios, boundary/edge cases, severity vs. priority, the bug lifecycle
3. Can write clear, reproducible bug reports (steps, expected vs. actual, environment, evidence)
4. Experience with a bug/test management tool (Jira is ideal)
5. Good communication; can push back on "it works on my machine" and hold the quality bar
6. Understands the difference between functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing

Nice-to-have

1. Exposure to API testing (Postman), browser dev tools, SQL basics
2. Any automation exposure (Selenium/Playwright/Cypress) — not required for this role, but signals growth
3. Comfort with AI dev/QA tooling
4. Experience testing Chrome extensions or complex single-page apps
