WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Journalism & Editorial Intern. If you are looking for editorial experience, you want to polish up your writing skills for a media platform, would like to gain insight into the editorial process of a news team and you are passionate about news topics related to the SDGs, this is the role for you!

WHAT WILL YOU DO
You will work closely with the Editorial team, attending weekly editorial meetings and writing weekly articles or news pieces for the Impakter media site. You will gain valuable experience in CMS; implementing style guidelines; SEO; social media; and how media partnerships function.

This is an opportunity to participate in the editorial life of the magazine, and to receive editorial training of the highest level.

YOUR PROJECT
You will have the opportunity to build a portfolio of articles and news pieces edited by the Impakter editorial team. You will also have the opportunity to learn how to create engaging media posts which promote your pieces on Twitter and Instagram - strengthening and demonstrating to future employers your attention to detail, ability to follow style guidelines and your creativity.

DAY 2 DAY
Work with the media team’s editors with focus on:

• Content management - Reading and responding to articles as they come in, with thoughts about structure, argument, and ideas.
  
• Editing on the level of line and structure.
• Columnist and contributors management
• Editorial work such as interviewing global leaders, articles.
• Copywriting
• Experience with WordPress -Experience with social media tools Buffer and Canva -Creating engaging social media content
• Institutional relationships

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN
You will learn how to use all the tools and instruments that the tech and social media world require from you: communication, execution, PR, and marketing.

WHAT YOU WILL FINISH WITH
Upon successful completion of the internship, you will be provided a letter of recommendation.
