Santhe is a platform built with an objective to Support Local Economy. The platform brings together local merchants like Kirana Stores and other vendors with local customers in a competitive way. By using Santhe apps the customers can get best deals and prices for their groceries & essentials from local merchants and shops, while enabling the merchants and vendors to grow their business by accessing customers via online channel.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the technical design and implementation of new products and enhancements. They will work in all phases of the development cycle: concept to implementation. We are looking for analytical, results oriented, developer who is knowledgeable, collaborative and motivated.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain server side code to manage exchange of data.
• Lead and conduct code review, design review, testing and debugging activities.
• Lead automation, scalability and disaster recovery planning and activities.
• Follow secure and best coding practices, and establish data quality protocols.
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases, API’s and applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from front end.
• Write technical documentation, and have broad technical oversight.
• Evaluate new technologies and participate in decision making, maintainability and cost of ownership.

Skills

• Experience in micorservices, and open source technologies.
• Core Java and backend development.
• IDE development tools, IntelliJ/Eclipse. Collaborating and defect tracking via Github.
• RDBMS knowledge MYSQL/Postgre, documents - MongoDB/Cassandra.
• REST API’s – Node.JS or Spring.
• UNIX experience.
• Caching - Elastic, Redis.
• Cloud infrastructure – Deployments to AWS, Google cloud.
• Understanding of Devops, and setting up CICD – Docker, Drone, Kubernetes.
• Security knowledge and practices– openid connect, OAUTH, JWT. Authentication using google OAUTH, Spring security.
• Preferable Unit testing tools, JUNIT and Automation testing.
• Configuration experience of https, nginx, apache with the components needed for modules.
• Horizontal and vertical scaling strategies.
• Knowledge on design patterns.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science
• 2+ years' experience in related area
• Very good written and spoken English
• Previous experience with Start-ups is an added advantage This is a role for a start-up and will start as fixed contract employee and depending on the progress a permanent role can be offered.

The company is based in Bangalore and so, preference will be for the candidates who would be based in Bangalore as we would prefer to meet in person (potentially at Wework) at least once a week.
