About Us

We are a data annotation platform company helping AI and robotics teams (ADAS, autonomous vehicles, robotics, industrial automation) build high-quality training data. Alongside our platform, we deliver managed annotation services, working with a network of external vendor teams to scale delivery. We're looking for a Data Annotation Project Manager to own the day-to-day execution of annotation projects — from setup through quality control to client delivery.

Role Overview

As a Data Annotation Project Manager, you will be the operational backbone connecting our platform, our annotation workforce (in-house and vendor), and our clients. You'll set up and monitor projects, ensure labeling quality meets spec, coordinate with external vendors on timelines and output, and act as the primary point of contact for client communication on project status.

Key Responsibilities

Project Setup & Oversight

1. Configure and launch data annotation projects on our platform (task setup, guidelines, labeling schemas, workflows)
2. Monitor project progress against timelines and flag risks early
3. Serve as the first point of contact for the labeling team — clarifying instructions, resolving edge cases, and refining guidelines as questions arise

Quality Control

1. Review annotated data against project specifications and quality benchmarks before delivery
2. Identify and escalate systematic labeling errors; work with the team to correct and prevent recurrence
3. Maintain QC records/metrics for each project

Vendor Coordination

1. Act as the liaison with external annotation vendors on assigned projects
2. Track vendor throughput and quality against agreed SLAs
3. Troubleshoot delivery or quality issues with vendor teams to keep projects on schedule

Client Communication

1. Provide clients with regular updates on project status, timelines, and any blockers
2. Gather and clarify client requirements or doubts about labeling specs
3. Relay client feedback internally and ensure it's reflected in guidelines and QC criteria

Requirements

1. 2+ years of experience in data labeling working on project management, operations, or a related coordination role.
2. Comfortable working with data annotation tools/platforms, or a fast learner with technical tools.
3. Strong attention to detail — especially for QC work.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both client-facing and vendor-facing interactions.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
6. Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving startup environment.
