Purpose :
Members of this team are responsible for gathering input requirements
Members of this team are responsible for doing research, review, and implementing best-practices, new and emerging technologies, and design patterns to new and existing development.
Members of the embedded hardware team are expected to bring up boards and provide to firmware team for further tests
Members of the embedded hardware team are expected to test boards with test firmware and ensure functional performance
Members of this team are responsible to research and provided innovative techniques for product betterment
Members of this team are responsible to support business development activity
Roles & Responsibilities :
Conduct requirement analysis and creation of functional requirement specification for new derivative products or new features in an existing product.
Work closely with other engineering teams, partners and vendors to gather inputs and ensure the right implementation and interoperability/reusability.
Involve in embedded hardware design documentation, schematic design, layout design and review, unit test and integration testing while upholding hardware design standards and methodologies.
Maintain and enhance technical proficiency in embedded hardware engineering related development environments, processes, and tools.
Realization of complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable hardware solutions
Conduct HW impact analysis to ensure all of existing features are functional with new proposed change(s).
Multitasking between the new product development and the sustenance activities of all existing products
Requirements :
Experience with Eagle/Altium or equivalent software
Strong knowledge of EMI / EMC certification and environmental compliances - UL /IEC / RoHS / REACH etc.
Develop & implement benchmark & test protocols according to industry standards
Develop and test electronic circuits, digital logic, microcontroller, and analog circuits
Evaluate and debug circuit design
Build test equipment to qualify electronic modules for production
Generate reports for BOM, comparison sheet for component selection, deration of components, Thermal analysis and Timing analysis
Strong design and hardware troubleshooting skills, including debugging, performance analysis, and test design
Should be able to independently perform board bring-up activities
Should have strong programming skills in Embedded C and Knowledgeable in C++
Knowledge of interfacing microcontrollers such as STM32, Cortex M4, AVR with hardware such as USB, UART, SPI, I2C, Timers, PWM, WDT, CAN interfacing
Sound experience on simulation tools like PSpice, LTSpice, Model Sim, etc.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to self-learn
Self-starter with the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision
Experience in functional safety development in the hardware. Awareness on functional safety standards. Preferably Functional Safety certified.
Good to Have :
Should have knowledge of embedded C/C++
Experience in power electronics is preferred
Experience with BMS is preferred
Experience in building MIL grade certified products
Preferred knowledge on wireless hardware design using WiFi,Zigbee and Bluetooth protocols.
Prefered knowledge on designing production testers and simulators.
Familiarity with Atmel Studio, Kiel
Familiarity with multi OS Linux/Windows
Eligible candidates : B.E. / B. Tech / M.E. / M. Tech/ M.S. in Electronics or equivalent relevant work experience.
