Position Summary
SCS Financial Services, part of Gradable Commercial Services, is looking for a dynamic professional to help service brokerage clients, along with acquiring and engaging new clients in brokerage products and other financial risk management services. This professional will convert newly identified customers to fully engaged and transacting educated ones on the financial services we provide.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work to maintain and foster relationships with customer End users, Elevators and Coops.
- Service risk managers, merchandisers, and originators at customer entities.
- Partner with and provide advice to FBN’s current brokerage customers and future customers.
- Foster a relationship and build trust with current clients, helping them with existing needs and providing support and advice on future customer endeavors.
- Serve as the business development support for grain risk management, using technical knowledge of the agricultural markets.
- Focus on and specialize in both cash and financial trading and brokering.
- Solicit and onboard new business for the FBN Financial Business Unit.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in agriculture financial services
- Deep understanding of the cash grain markets, including basis and transportation dynamics across the country.
- Understanding of derivatives (options, futures) and how they apply to hedging at an deep level
- Series 3 or ability to attain in short order required
- Location flexible. Offices in Chicago preferable, but ability to work from home part/all time will be considered
- Travel when needed - 10-20% possible
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in agriculture financial services
- Ability, willingness and confidence to reach out to commercial entities across agriculture to discuss and offer the many services offered by Gradable Commercial Services, including but not limited to IB services.
- Established agricultural commercial relationships (particularly end user relationships) a strong positive
