Team & Work Summary:

Our Detection team powers our core ML/AI capabilities we leverage to detect and mitigate attacks. If you love challenging yourself - you’ll find our scale (1M+ QPS,10x YoY scale), sub-100ms latency constraints, high accuracy & precision requirements, and the “adversarial” nature of our technical problems will keep you constantly learning!

As a backend engineer on this team you could be tackling work on our data platforms or streaming infrastructure, or building high-throughput microservices in a distributed cloud environment to support green field products. You could also be improving the efficiency of our ML teams or real-time systems, enhancing our model serving architecture, delivering the next-generation of our training/retraining systems, or building the feature extraction systems that will help create new predictive models.

We’re hiring experienced engineers [all levels], for needs across multiple “Detection” teams.

To qualify, you’ll need:

• At least 2 years of production backend engineering experience
• Experience with scalable and performant cloud-native distributed systems
• To work in Python (and/or Go)
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals

“Bonus Points” if you have:

• Strong experience with ML & Big Data technologies, like Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Flink, etc.
• Bring “Domain Expertise” building: anomaly detection systems, email security solutions, or working on anti-abuse, Privacy, or Trust & Safety teams
• Been building systems to support Machine Learning Engineers and/or Data Scientists
• Working on data ingestion pipelines, stream processing, data workflows, or other “data-centric” engineering challenges
• You’d like to use your scalable, backend engineering experiences to make a positive impact on our important Mission.
